First of all, I would like to comment that
we are in the beginning of our 30 Day Trail period and we are over the
moon with enthusiasm about your product. It is such a wonderful tool for
matching students with books on their reading level that they
are interested in reading. As the administrator I have to say it is the
easiest database management tool I have ever used. The interface is
user-friendly and management is a breeze. Bravo to all of you.
Thank you,

This is Awesome... I can't even
describe by time and efforts over the last 7 years as the school webmaster
to try and put our Quizzes on the website. You are right ...it takes less
than 5 minutes and I have already updated again. I have applied for the
grant to pay for the subscription and am sure you will get the order soon.
Our PTA is totally behind it along with our new Webmaster. I could teach
anyone how to do this.
Yahoo! We already have a link on the website and
the parents and staff have been notified.

I love it. My new parent webmaster
loves it. My Curriculum Support teacher loves it. .... I checked again
tonight.... over 300 hits since Oct 1. The link has been added to our
website and I have put it in the newsletter for two weeks. BTW ... I did
send an email to every elem tech in FCBOE about it. :)
from the Heards newsletter:
New! Our Fully Updated AR List Is Now Online!
No more paper lists! Now you can find quizzes by
Title, Author, Points, and Book Level. You can even search by key words to
find books on interesting subjects like "horses" or "airplanes". We are
using QuizList Interactive which is designed to help you and your children
find a book to read that fits your child's reading level and interests.
Since it's on our website, you can search from home or the public library.
Print out a list of titles and bring them into the library. You do not
need a password to use QuizList. To get to our QuizList search page, go to
The Library page on the Heards Ferry Website.
http://www.fultonschools.org/school/heardsferry/html/library.htm
and click on the * The Accelerated Reader quiz lists are now online! <http://www.quizlist.net/search.aspx?id=35779>
. Bookmark it or add to your favorites. Enter your reading level in the
"Book Level" fields - use a range of levels to get titles near your
reading level - like 5.0 to 6.0. Then put something in the "Subject" field
that you are interested in. Click "Get Books" and see how many you get. If
any of the titles look good to you, click on the title to read more about
the book. The print button is at the bottom of the page. Give it a name
and it will show the quizzes and the Media Center call number. The new
site has gotten 135 hits since posting. 99 in just this week!

I just spent the last
hour getting QuizList Match set up and am totally impressed with its ease
of use and the speed with which the steps were processed. It’s a beautiful
thing! The on-screen directions were clear and I didn’t encounter a glitch
anywhere along the way.
I will be sharing this
with my fellow media specialists at our next meeting.
Outstanding product,
service and value!
Thank you so much.

Your program has been
an absolute blessing to since our county went to FOLLETT DESTINY and ended
up showing all the old AR book levels – not the ATOS which I had converted
to the first year they came out.
I just tell parents
and students to print out their personalized quiz lists – one for fiction,
one for non-fiction. They take these to the public library and use it
here during parent “park and read” time before and after school. We all
just LOVE QuizList Interactive!!!

I don't have to keep
QuizList Interactive 30 days to know that I want it. Thirty minutes was
enough to see how helpful this tool will be to parents, students,
teachers, and the local public library. It will be especially helpful for
me...no more hours of sorting and exporting lists by levels just to paste
them onto our web page where it needs further editing. I will be sharing
this awesome website at a Media Specialist Consortium in Rome, Georgia
next week. They will love it!!

Thank
you for adding the lovely feature of showing which teacher made tests have
been duplicated by purchased tests.
We are such
overachievers here that teachers make tests for books that don’t have a
commercial test yet. I always purchase the commercial test when available
but occasionally miss deleting the homemade test. Can you believe that we
hit the wall – 500 homemade tests and no more slots to put them in.

XXXXXX,
I received your
inquiry about the AR Quizlist service we have available through our PTA
website. Yes, our PTA pays for this service, while our school pays for the
AR software program itself. And yes, we are extremely happy with AR
Quizlist!
As part of our "technology" goals, the Crismon PTA signed up for
Quizlist's service in December, 2003 and went through the 30-day trial.
I was somewhat apprehensive about all the "easy to install" and "quick
download processing times" that were promised on its website. In my
former career as a Business Analyst (http://www.apicsphoenix.org/officers/Boucher.html),
I implemented multi-million dollar planning software systems that often
promised the same (but NEVER were!). Although I was not an "AR
Administrator" and had never run some of the required download reports,
our upload to start the trial period was approximately 5 minutes - just as
promised! It took more time to find our school's AR administrator
and schedule the time to get it uploaded than the actual upload itself!
In that former career, I received intensive training on how to a) "break"
software at all points possible prior to an implementation (turn-on) date;
b) test for problems that could be created by users with low-to-mid
computer skills; and c) evaluate written instructions for clarity and ease
of use. I can't tell you how impressed we were to not find a single
problem in 30 days of testing by users of various skill levels. We
found written instructions to be detailed, yet extremely easy to follow.
We have even gone through an update to our list after PTA purchased new AR
quizzes - no problems!
Our teachers and parents love it! We did have to provide all
the teachers with a 30-minute in-service training to introduce the site,
and to provide a sample write-up to parents. Our students are
now able to pull up a list of AR books they can read, sorted by title,
level, points, etc. Feel free to browse through our Quizlist
searches at
http://www.quizlist.net/search.aspx?id=8406 to try it out.
We signed up for the "Plus" version ($149 per year), but haven't
extensively used the lists yet. Our plans are to have
that part of it ready for the summer reading programs and the start of the
new school year, once the grade level teams determine their lit studies
for the year.
I hope that answered your questions about our QuizList service.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Joyce Lewis (Boucher), MAEd, CPIM, C.P.M.

[reply to a letter
from support about incorrect ATOS levels]
Thank you so much for your response. After further investigation,
I realized the list I was reading the info from was actually
created from AR Bookguide. My AR program lists the book as 2.5. We
have many earlier titles still at Pre-ATOS level because it would
cause us to change over 4000 labels in our books to update them.
The new quizzes we install are at ATOS level.
So,
that's just the long way of saying that your software is actually
more accurate for my collection than AR Bookguide! I am thrilled.
Your program is very well done and user friendly.
Thanks,

Chip,
We are now fully functional at
http://www.quizlist.net/search.aspx?id=147
We updated some of our school webpages. I sent all the
teachers
a news release today. I think it will be very popular.
Setup was a breeze. Speed of access is excellent -
better than our OPAC. Search and output options are
robust. It should get lots of use by students, teachers,
and parents.
Best wishes,

I liked how your database had plot summaries
and the ability to create a saved list. As I'm sure happens in most
"AR" schools, students come to the media center and ask "Where are
the science fiction books?" Well, they are all over the fiction
section of course.
We have an online catalog, but they really
want to know if it is an AR book. Your program makes it easier for
them to search by topic, and find the AR level they need all at one
time. I plan to show the teachers how to make lists during a faculty
meeting. This way they can create lists when they assign reading
projects. It shouldn't be hard to train them since it is so easy to
use.
Feel free to use any of my comments. I'm
Okle Miller and I approve this ad. HA! : ) |

Thanks for the offer [to help me upload my quizzes], but it was so
easy that I just did it myself. I just heard from one of our elementary
teachers about how much she enjoys using the site!
I put the link to it on our school's website to make it accessible from
home. I'm sending a flyer home soon with our students so that parents know
about it. I'll also stop by our public library to tell them about it. I'm
really excited about making custom lists too! Great product! Customer
service is great too, but the program is so sweet that I didn't need any
help.

Our school has been using
AR QuizList for almost a year now and it is hard to
imagine ever living without it. Not only can students
easily search for appropriate AR books here in our
school library, but parents and students can connect to
it from any computer with internet access. Our regional
public library has told me that it has been an enormous
help in tracking the AR titles for our school. It is
well worth the small investment.

[And let's not forget
the reason for the program]
Can I access the AR list of books
that my school has tests for?
A list online that I can search for
on my home computer?
Thank you,
